Adult Inpatient Service
CenterPointe Hospital provides intensive psychiatric acute care to stabilize an immediate crisis and help provide patients with the skills to prevent future crisis situations. Our inpatient psychiatric care is a highly structured crisis stabilization model with emphasis on identifying crisis symptoms, stabilizing behaviors, identifying environmental supports and increasing coping skills of each patient.
Silver Lining Senior Adult Psychiatric service
CenterPointe’s senior adult program, Silver Lining, is specifically designed to help older adults cope with emotional problems or stressors they may be experiencing in life. For example, many seniors experience severe depression, anxiety, fears, confusion, disorientation, memory loss, medication issues and distress related to decline in health.

Azfar M. Malik, MD, MBA, DFAPA, is a board-certified psychiatrist. He is the Chief Medical Officer at CenterPointe Hospital.Dr. Malik earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1978 from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Georgia A. Jones M.D.
Georgia A. Jones, M.D., is a board certified psychiatrist. She serves as the Medical Director of CenterPointe Hospital IOP in Washington, MO.Dr. Jones earned her Doctor of Medicine in 1977 from St. Louis University Medical School. She is licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Jones is in Private Practice with Psych Care Consultants.

Javed Qasim, M.D., is a psychiatrist specializing in geriatric psychiatric disorders. He is the Medical Director of the Adult Inpatient Unit at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, Mo. Raafea F. Malik, MD is the Medical Director for the Addiction Treatment Center at CenterPointe Hospital and the Medical Director for the adult psychiatry and dual diagnosis at CenterPointe’s St. Peters outpatient program.Dr. Malik is board-certified in psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in 1996.
